Reserve Pinot Noir
Wine
Yering Station Reserve Pinot Noir is made from MV6 clone vines planted in the 1990s on the winery's Yarra Valley estate. The soils are yellow clay alluvial loam over deteriorated mudstones.
The handpicked whole berries are cold soaked before two weeks fermentation in open fermenters using cultured yeasts. After malolactic fermentation the wine matures for 12 months in new and seasoned French oak.
Crimson red, Yering Station Reserve Pinot Noir has intense red and black fruit flavours, fine grained tannins and lasting length. Cellaring potential is nine years.
